Tabakmon has given up 6 hits , but no walks. Two double plays have helped keep St. Peters at bay.

6 full innings in under an hour and a half. The breaks between innings are about 30 seconds. really fun to listen to.

Had first and third in one inning with 1 out and didn't get run in from third and then 1st and 2nd in another with 1 out and couldn't them around. Now it is 2-1 bases loaded a 1 out for St. Peter's. Error by Hill on a double play ball opens it up.

Routolo comes in and gets a K and fly out with bases loaded and hold the 2-1 lead going into bottom of the 7th. Great job by the frosh.

YUUUUUGE K by Ruotolo!!! Then battled back from 3-1 for a fly out. UConn needs an insurance run or 2. Hill has two errors.

Davey just went yard. 4-1 UConn and Melley gets a base hit on the very next pitch.

Davey, Melley and McDowell with all 7 hits so far. Nice to see that maybe Melley and McDowell breaking out of early season slumps.

8-1. Hill drew a BL walk, Sundburg reaches on an error, and Yavs drives in 2 more. That may do it for all intents and purposes, ladies and gentlemen.

- The Huskies scored eight runs in the eighth inning, most in a single frame this season.
- Vinny Siena drew a walk in the eighth inning, marking the 25th straight game he has reached base, dating to last season. Siena had an 18-game hitting streak snapped.
- Blake Davey’s eighth-inning home run was his team-high second of the season and marked the first time this year the Huskies have homered in back-to-back games.
- The game was the first ever between UConn and St. Peter’s.
- All nine UConn starters reached base in the victory.

Up next, UConn continues play in the Big 5 Baseball Bash when it faces La Salle on the home field of the Explorers. Game time tomorrow is set for 2 p.m. and Anthony Marzi (Berlin, Conn.) will take the ball for the Huskies.

Here we go again. The LaSalle Explorer website has the Saturday game against UConn starting at 4:15 instead of the 2pm that is on the UConn schedule.
