BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Stephon Castle, UConn, G, Fr. – Castle earns Freshman of the Week honors for the 10th time this season which ties Syracuse’s Carmelo Anthony for the BIG EAST record. In the Huskies’ only game of the week, Castle tied his career scoring high with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the floor in a 91-61 win over Seton Hall. He also had four rebounds and three assists. Anthony earned his honors in 2002-03.

think it speaks to the fact that 1.) our team is really balanced and 2.) the big east has done a bad job of promoting our guys, maybe intentionally (and understandably) because our guys get enough coverage in the national media.

having made these threads all year and watched very closely, there were SEVERAL weeks when we had a great argument to get a POTW and did not.

Agreed it's just balance. There may have been one or two weeks where an argument could be made but I think it was mostly right. I remember one week when I thought Cam had a case for POW and didn't even get honor think it went to Newton.
