Not counting this year.

Big East 291-185
Big 10 299-198

For good measure,
SEC 250-164

*2019 killed the BE. The B10 was 13-8 in 2019 vs BE 1-4 and in 2021 the B10 was +4 in wins too, so a 16 win swing in two tourneys pushed B10 ahead.
*SEC also covered some ground at 12-7 in 2019 and 7-6 in 2021.
*Once Uconn steps it up they will help the BE to catch up to the B10 and surpass them. Deep runs from Nova and Providence will help this year as well as long as Michigan (hopefully) loses in the S16 and Purdue flames out (go St. Peters!)

You left out the most important part: championships!! 9-3 (ok, i fudged a little and went back to 1984 and included UConn in 2014, but still)

Unless my math is wrong...

BE = .611 winning pct
SEC = .604
B1G = .602

So BE is still better.

You left out the fact that this is not your fathers Big East. Start with 2013 and it would be a better comparison
The Big 10 also has had changes to its members - Rutgers, Maryland, Nebraska, Penn State (although they have been big since like 1990). Tough to compare as the Big East went from the original cast, to a huge conference and than back down to what it is now. A lot of Butler, Xavier wins were not Big East wins, etc too, so some of that comes out in the wash. In the end, they are both good conferences, based on the data, you're splitting hairs trying to figure out who's "better". Does it really matter? Some schools will always get a little favoritism (Michigan, Syracuse) simply based on their name. It is what it is.

Why not include the Big 12 and ACC? Even the Pac.

So, in a hypothetical world where UConn never left BE, the conference would have 35 bids, with a record of 43-32 (.573), Then you'd have:
R32: 62.9%
S16: 22.9%
E8: 11.4%
F4: 8.6%
CG: 8.6%
NC: 8.6%

And if Villanova or Providence makes the FF, they're going all the way, right?

The NEWBIE is so far from the 1990 Big East, never mind the Big East of the 1998-2013 period. The NCAA doesn’t even consider the NEWBIE to have the same records as the Real Big East. Compare records since 2014 if You want to be honest. Of course you don’t. You want to pretend the NOOB is as good or better than real conferences. If you don’t count Villanova, oof! The NOOB is the A10

But you do count Villanova. Since 2014 If you don’t count Kentucky where is the SEC, if you don’t count UCLA where is Pac12 and so on ….. statistics can be used in many ways. The Big East is part of 6 Power conference Basketball leagues. Get over it.

Both are better than the NOOB, but I agree that you count them. Villanova has carried the NOOB since it’s inception in 2014. They should cancel the NOOB tourney and just award the trophy to Villanova since they’ll probably win it anyway. After all they won 4 of the last 5 and arguably would have won the 5th but lost the or best player just before the tourney. It took them a few games to adjust.
