Neah, Its not the same in the BET. Actually I think Seton Hall may just knock them off if they face each other for the 3rd time. Its SHU last chance to get into the tournament .St John’s plays 11 games at Madison Square Garden. Seems like a home court to me. Doesn’t matter when they aren’t good. When they are, though it is a little unfair, no?
Will the Bright Lights of MSG in a single-elimination tourney be enough to light competitive fire and urgency in this enigmatic team? I guess we’ll find out…The path low key is easier as the 2 seed than the 1 seed lol
But it shouldn’t matter. If you are a real contender, you should destroy both games 1 and 2. St John’s punked us and we responded by blasting them by 30 the next time around. I’m begging for us to get Marquette first. I want to see the punch back that we didn’t do yesterday

So kinda like the NESCAC. Top seed hosts. We've been playing at MSG for 40+ years now. Wouldn't change a thing. St John's is more familiar with the arena, the shooting sites, but their crowd advantage goes away with 11 teams all receiving the same number of seats. They won't control the lower bowl
As teams get eliminated, it's about what fans will spend the money
If the top seeds advance, Friday night is going to be one hot ticket
St John's
UConn
Nova
Seton Hall
Maybe if you sit at home. It's a blast if you go to the Garden. So kinda like the NESCAC. Top seed hosts.
I actually think the NBE Tournament is a waste of time and energy. Who cares if you win unless you are Seton Hall with zero chance at the real tournament…I get it is a big deal for most of the league. They are never winning National Championships. But for us it’s nice but unessential. Who would you rather be UConn 2023 or Marquette?

Who cares if you win unless you are Seton Hall with zero chance at the real tournament…I get it is a big deal for most of the league. And for mid-majors. They are never winning National Championships. But for us it’s nice but unessential. Who would you rather be UConn 2023 or Marquette? It’s the basketball equivalent of the NBA in season tournament. The league had to mandate that they put up a banner or a plaque. And playing 3 straight days is not normal in the season so it can impact outcomes.
If you go to New York City for 3 days and don’t you are either there for surgery or there is something wrong with you. I had a blast even when I would go for business!I have a blast, so there's that I suppose
Exactly - show the world the truth after yesterday's fiasco.Bring on Marquette please.
We'll win the BEAST tourney and Florida won't win theirs. Committee will have no choice to give us #1 unless they want even less than zero credibility. The BE tourney winner usually gets more glory, but Marquette won it in 23-24’ so neither title is definitive and let’s face it, on Sunday night all is forgotten. Unless we lose the first game we still get a #2 seed I think, #3 if we lose the first.
