Seems to be missing all of our makeup games......St John's, Depaul, Gtown and Providence
Thought the same exact thing. There are definitely some long rest stretches in this schedule where games could be made up. Could also happen between 12/23-12/30.

This is well thought out. COVID Express. Oh well. Look for numerous cancellations/rescheduling with this mess, especially if other teams have similar trips.

I usually update my monthly calendar with the game schedule, but seeing how this has worked out until now I will just add weekly as we go.

It seems the makeup weeks are intended as that.

According to this, we'll be playing DePaul on the 23rd before we play them again on the 30th. It doesn't mention the Creighton game although all signs point to it still being on.

We already have two games scheduled in each of those weeks. Doesn’t seem like much extra time “baked in” for four more games.

If you use Google calendar, you can just subscribe to the calendar: Connecticut Huskies

And it will update automatically.

Steps:
  1. Go to calendar.google.com
  2. Find the "Other calendars" section in the left panel. Click the "+" icon.
  3. Click "Subscribe to calendar" and paste the aforementioned link.

Better yet, just click the link and in the bottom right there's a link to "Subscribe with Google Calendar". Hit that.

Works with Outlook too. I've been doing it for years. Very helpful imo.

Are you confusing January and February? I don't see any games scheduled in the 2 weeks mentioned in the tweet.

We have games 2/6 and 2/13 and 2/20 and 2/27. We would have to shoehorn 2 more games into each of those windows, meaning 4 games in 7 days during each time period. That doesn’t sound like extra time to me.

Gotcha. It will be tight for sure, but there is more than enough time to fit 4 games in without having games on consecutive days. That being said, it seems pretty likely that we will have more than just 4 to make up.

4 games in 7 days is not a huge deal in and of it self, the issue is if there is a number of other postponements between now and then.

Given the NCAA's stupidity on the 14 day "pauses" there certainly will be.

There are also 2 other long breaks in the schedule to get in some makeups and hopefully they utilize those for the 4 make up games UConn already has. Because there's no question more are coming and might as well use those February breaks already mentioned for those. There are no games between January 9 and 15 and January 31 and February 6. Seems you could get 1 game in between each of those 2 breaks if it works out for the other teams.

The point is, they did not "build in" extra time. In order to squeeze all those games in, we will have had to play 9 games in 21 days. That is NOT providing extra time.......that is layering on extra burden. I get there is no road map for this. But they didn't build in a cushion.
