The Big East got the 7 teams expected to win into the 2nd round. I expected Rutgers to lose to Gonzaga. Outside of Notre Dame and UConn cruising to the Sweet 16 there aren't any easy matchups for Big East teams, but there are some intriguing ones.

Coin flip games
4 Georgia Tech
5 Georgetown
First one to 40 points may win this game in a game I'll certainly choose not to watch. Georgetown should win this game, but Georgetown of course can't be counted on to make enough shots to win.

3 St. John's
6 Oklahoma
St. John's should still pull this one out, but they are playing on Oklahoma's home floor and if Oklahoma makes 3s this could turn into a difficult game for St. John's.

Upset Shots
2 Maryland
7 Lousiville
Maryland likely wins this on talent, but Louisville has a decent shot. Louisville has to make shots and Maryland may help them out there.

1 Stanford
2 West Virgina
Maybe Stanford should have gone to Spokane where Gonzaga would not have been a true threat to upset Stanford even with home floor. Instead Stanford campaigned to go East. They got their wish and the reward is West Virginia. I expect Stanford to win the game, but West Virginia has a shot to rough up Stanford and steal a game like they did to Notre Dame.

2 Tennessee
7 DePaul
DePaul probably doesn't have the talent to pull this upset with the injuries, but there is always hope Tennessee has one of those days. I think a West Virginia or Louisville upset may actually be more likely as DePaul never seems to put the full game together that it takes to beat a team as talented as Tennessee

2nd round could be a rough day for the Big East with everyone, but Notre Dame and UConn going home if things break wrong. It could also be a great day with some big upsets. I would guess 4 Big East teams find a way to the Sweet 16 with somebody pulling an upset if Georgetown or St. John's doesn't make it through.

Watch this post look dumber than dirt by Tuesday, but:

I was surprised by Ga Tech. They haven't really impressed me all season. Was SH just that bad, or is Ga Tech a little better than I thought? I had Georgetown winning this game, but now I'm closer to tossup. I'll say Georgetown finds a way.

I think SJU loses to OU in Norman. Sherri's a good postseason coach, and it's in Norman. Honestly, I see OU as a dark horse to make the Elite Eight.

One would expect Maryland beats Louisville at home, but Louisville will make it ugly and unpleasant.

If DePaul has enough people at the game to make it a hostile environment, and if they shoot well, it could be interesting. One would imagine Tennessee wins though.

Stanford is going to beat WVU. Too strong inside for WVU's strengths to shine.

So I predict three BEast teams in the Sweet 16. Not as spectacular as last season, but a solid showing by the conference.

Honestly, can't count any specific game except you and ND.

Georgetown or St. John's, probably, although neither shined so far. Not likely both.

The rest as upsets - very unlikely.

2nd round Tonight - no upsets tonight...the talent level is just too great for the top seeds
DePaul vs Tennessee - TENNESSEE
WVU vs Stanford - STANFORD
Louisville vs Maryland - MARYLAND
UConn vs KState - UCONN

2nd round Tomorrow
Georgetown vs GA Tech- GA Tech is underrated and I think they take this one
St. John's vs Oklahoma - going with OU...they have good guard play and are getting just enough in the paint
ND vs Cal - ND in a blowout
