Big East Regular Season Predicted Order of Finish

Now that rosters have pretty much been cemented, I think now is a good time to predict 1-11 finish.

Here's mine (NCAA tournament teams in parentheses):

1. UConn (17-3)*

2. St. John's (17-3)*

3. Creighton (15-5)*

4. Marquette (13-7)*

5. Providence (12-8)*

6. Villanova (10-10)

7. Georgetown (8-12)

8. Xavier (7-13)

9. DePaul (5-15)

10. Seton Hall (3-17)

11. Butler (3-17)

That order looks pretty good to me. Providence could finish anywhere from 4th to 9th due to coaching impact. Their roster is probably 4th best in the league, but...

I wouldn’t be surprised if Georgetown is better than Providence and Villanova. Top 4 in some order is likely a lock.

I liked Kim English when he first started out as a young and scrappy coach. But in his first year he missed the tournament with a team that was ranked in January, and featured the BE POY and a really good big in Josh Oduro. Last year they barely looked like they knew how to play basketball for most of the year. Unfortunately I’m out on PC until they show it in the W/L column

I’d have GTown and maybe Nova ahead of them. I’m not super high on Marquette and think they may have less than 13 wins, but I’ve been wrong about Shaka’s teams pretty much every year
