Big East preseason poll: a year of change

In the Big East's final season before the UConn takeover:

DePaul is the unanimous preseason #1. After that, it's a huge shakeup from last year:

• Marquette, which won at least a share of the regular season title in the past 3 years, has been picked 9th after graduating their entire starting 5 last year (and losing their head coach to Penn State).
• St. John's and Seton Hall, who tied for 8th in conference last year, have been picked 2nd and #3 (UConn plays Seton Hall on Dec. 5).
• Georgetown, which tied for 4th last year, has been picked to finish last.

Seton Hall senior Shadeen Samuels has been selected preseason BE POY. She led the conference in scoring last year with 20.2 ppg.
