A little surprised to see Kelis over Blanca but I think a lot of voters probably don’t know much about Blanca

I think I got this correct? The preseason player of the year - Sarah Strong, doesn't make the preseason all big east team?

MU has 3 players on the All Big East team. It looks like they have not missed a beat due to their loss of their Head Coach.

Is it against the voting rules for the POY to also be voted on to the All-Big East team?
For whatever reason, they don’t double up the awards I guess. Paige and Sarah were Poty and Foty last year but were not on pre season all conference

Wow. The whole starting line up. Not sure when that last happened.... with the transfer portal, they should probably create a newcomer of the year award to be up with the times. Yeah probably most people don't know who Blanca is but they will find out the hard way! LOL.

Marquette with three all conference players is interesting. I have never heard of Halle Vice. 🤔

Interesting choice for FOY! Think there is other incoming freshman that will have more team impact with scoring and minutes.
I find the voting by the other coaches pathetic across many fronts. From a UConn perspective, Blanca is our best freshman
AND will have more opportunities than Kelis. That said, Creighton actually has 3 Freshman coming in who were ranked and have starting role opportunities to perform key needs. My guess is one of them will earn it.

Considering this is Coach Consuegra's second season, the team seems to be jelling under her coaching. Not only does she favor the previous coach in looks, but she has also been able to keep the school in the top 3-4 of the BE. Let's hope she can get an NCAA invite after this season.

KK getting first team is interesting; because I think some people are looking for reasons to not start her. I thought especially in big east play last year… her defense and her speed really stood out. Players in this conference can’t match it.

IMO. We do need to see a more consistent KK this year. We don’t have a Kaitlyn Chen to put in when she doesn’t have it. I am also hoping her shooting improves. Nika wasn’t much of a shooter initially; but she became someone that shot the ball well and more often than not… hit the wide open ones. I hope KK can do that.
