NEW YORK – St. John’s junior guard Brooke Moore averaged 21.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in a 3-0 week to be named the BIG EAST Player of the Week. Creighton freshman guard Neleigh Gessert knocked down a career-high 25 points in the win at Northern Arizona to earn freshman of the week.

And Bascoe was scoreless in the 4th after having scored 20 in the first half before she got into foul trouble.

Why? I'll be rooting for Moore, and hope to see many more good players in the conference.

I like to root for our Big East sisters. Our conference gets hated on so much, it's great to see them do well. St John's has had some good games, and Nova had an awesome game against WVA last night.
