Big East OOC Thread

All eleven Big East members have completed their OOC schedules and here are the results:

P4 matchups by school:

Butler: 4
UConn: 6
Creighton: 4-5
DePaul: 2-3
Georgetown: 4
Marquette: 5
Providence: 5
Seton Hall: 3-5
St. John's: 5-6
Villanova: 4
Xavier: 4

Big East total: 46-51

The Big East played a total of 41 games against the P4 last year (including the Big 12-Big East Battle) so this is an impressive set of schedules.

A couple notes:

1. At least four schools will play at least 5 P4 opponents this year
2. At least nine schools will play at least 4 P4 opponents this year
3. DePaul again disappointed with scheduling

They are not scheduling for success. There are no guarantees they will beat all seven buy game teams. Also, they are not expected to finish last this year, and some people have them as high as eighth. Why are they still scheduling like a last placed team?
