I was just looking at the WNBA player stats. The top 5 players (statistically) in three categories were listed - Points, Rebounds and Assists. Of the 15 names, 5 of them were Big East players, although one player (Tina!) is in the top 5 in two categories. Pretty good league, don't you think?

Points - Epiphanny Prince, Angel McCoughtry, Tina Charles + 1 SEC (Big Syl) + 1 ACC (Toliver)
Rebounds - Tina, Rebekkah Brunson + 2 SEC (Big Syl, Parker) + 1 Big 12 (Young)
Assists - Sue + 2 Big 10 (Prahalis, Whalen) + 1 ACC (Toliver) + 1 WAC/MWC (Hammon)

Big East - 6
SEC - 3
ACC - 2
Big 10 -2
Big 12 - 1
WAC/MWC - 1

there are a bunch of RU grads who have done really well. i think someone was looking at the stats last year and RU's grads were 2nd in production behind UCONN grads... is that correct? i think Duke might have been next followed by Tennessee? anyway, the RU kids have done really well.

Piph really lit it up against the Dream.... that was a *shocking* victory! I'm sure Meadors is still steaming over that technical late in the game on the dead-ball inbounds

Yeah, that call was BS. The refs were horrible.

Prince looks like a top candidate for Most Improved Player. She's taking better shots, taking better care of the ball, learning to not only read defenses for her own shot but to set up teammates. I'm very impressed with the growth and maturity coming into her game.
