Fair enough, but Alex Karaban's contributions go far beyond those stats. Not to mention his BBIQ is elite and he's effectively a coach on the floor.Happy for the guys but we should've won the Big East with 3 first teamers and a second teamer.
AK is fortunate to have a been a first teamer.
AK- 12.5 ppg, 5.4 rebs, 2.2 assists, 46% fg, 38% three
Tyler Perkins- 15.4 ppg, 6.2 rebs, 1.6 assists, 45% fg, 36% three
Really EvanMiya says Tarris is better than Zuby? Wow. I respect EvanMiya, but I would disagree with that one. Tarris is very good defender but Zuby is the best one in the Big East. Zuby can defend all positions 1-5 effectively. This one is interesting because Tarris has the best defensive value on EvanMiya by a wide margin, along with strong advanced defensive stats by % on CBB Analytics—maybe it goes under the radar because it isn’t flashy.
I hear Solo Ball makes club sandwiches without bacon. We cannot forgive that. Word is AK sometimes doesn't return shopping carts to the corral as well.So now we're complaining that UConn has too many award winners? What's next, they suck at ping pong?
Well duh, he's in CT so he's grabbing the carriagesI hear Solo Ball makes club sandwiches without bacon. We cannot forgive that. Word is AK sometimes doesn't return shopping carts to the corral as well.
All but locks Acaden Lewis in as FOY. Well deserved too.
Hahahaha so confused how Acaden was Big East 2nd Team and didn’t win FOY! Seems a bit crazy.
100% agreeHolloway COTY
Agreed. Holman is right there too.Holloway COTY
It hasn't been announced yet... right?Hahahaha so confused how Acaden was Big East 2nd Team and didn’t win FOY! Seems a bit crazy.
Nigel James Jr won FOY.It hasn't been announced yet... right?
Where? Is it leaked or something? Isn't this what the Big East site says?Nigel James Jr won FOY.
You're right. I saw all the beat writers tweeting out awards yesterday but it looks like those were the AP awards not the official Big East awards. So I assume it still will be Acaden LewisWhere? Is it leaked or something? Isn't this what the Big East site says?
The BIG EAST will announce the remaining individual awards: BIG EAST Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete on Wednesday, March 11, in a press conference at 1:30 p.m. ET at Madison Square Garden. The BIG EAST Media Award will also be presented.

Granted, I'm in Japan, so sometimes time conversion takes me a minute, but I don't think that it's been 1:30 p.m. ET on March 11th yet.
