All the Power 5 conferences have now announced their annual awards for this season.

Does someone know when the Big East will name theirs ? Is it during the tournament ?

As Geno cannot vote for his own players, it would have to be a perfect celestial alignment for half of the coaches to vote for Paige or Liya, and then again for KK or Ash.

They are usually released the day before the Big East Tournament starts, so Thursday

Part of what makes Paige a special player is she does a lot of things that help the team win that doesn't necessarily stuff the stat sheet. I would be surprised if the isn't the Big East POY but if it wasn't her and Aaliyah won the award it would be just as deserving. Both players did a lot this year and this team will go as far as they can carry it.

I would have to agree with the coaches on all the top selections. A little surprised a team other than UConn had three first team all conference players but scoring really impacts awards and Nika has been good by percentages but not enough shots. Nika not getting defensive player of the year for the 3rd time will give he motivation over the next month to really dial in her game.

All the starters had a recognition, I enjoy this
 
While I congratulate all the winners of the respective awards, I’m not really sure how to feel about these results. On one hand, I’m ecstatic that UConn shone brightly, but on the other hand, I’m a bit disappointed in the results. I was hoping for Co-champions, as in:
Co-FOY — Ashlyn and KK
Co-POY — Aaliyah and Paige
In any event, I’m a Boneyarder who’s happy about UConn’s success! Go Huskies!!
