If this year counts, the most recent five year window (conveniently omitting a BCS Bowl win for UL) is enough to claim that UConn (with a similar conference record and a 3-3 head to head record since realignment) is a better football program. Have some here completely lost their minds?

Let's compare current NFL players form each school. Hall of Fame players. Bowl appearances and major bowl wins. Top 25 finishes. Top ten finishes. Best of all, lets compare fan bases. They recently expanded their stadium to a size ours will max out at and have plans in place (which would have already begun if it hadn't been for the Kragthorpe mess) to expand to 74k.

They are a far better geographic fit for the B-12 than we are and if football does drive the bus, unless someone is willing to claim that schools like VCU and George Mason are better men's basketball properties than half of the BE's non-football members, there is no way to argue that Louisville is not a better football property than we are.

Oh the UConn who can't sell out their 38,500 seat stadium in East Hartford is going to sell out Yankee Stadium. Ok.

You don't think UConn could bring 45k and Texas wouldn't be worth 5k and then another 4k fans from NY and NJ who are just college FB fans?

Stadium hold 54k for football. If you don't believe this is possible not sure what can be said.

If we expanded to 55k we could sell out OK and Texas every single time. A trip to Yankee stadium is a piece of cake.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Big Twelve took a run at F State, Clemson and/or G Tech

WVU will be a quick add to get to 10. If BYU can't settle, then they kick some tires. There's no way they ask Tulane or Cincy without looking at the ACC. Then there's the /Boise option for football only. That has to rank below an ACC raid.

The bigger name school implies a ND, Penn St. or a Michigan not a MAC program. Uconn playing any of those teams would sell out yankee stadium (actually it would be the bigger name school that sells it out but thats splitting hairs)

That's the opposite of splitting hairs.
