The answer for the B12 leftovers is obvious: stay together until 2025 to extract maximum money out of ESPiN, Texas, and OU. I doubt B12 leftovers will expand beyond 8 unless their media contract stipulates they have to. They will want to keep as much money as possible for themselves with no sharing with any new members unless they have to. In meantime, every team among the 8 will be looking for a safe landing spot somewhere. If they don't find any, they will expand at 2025 to add some teams and face the music for their next media deal. I suspect they might get better than what AAC is getting now, but it won't be much more,
Is a conference like the above appealing to UCONN right now? Definitely not. If they can somehow lock up a media deal with some sort of GOR, then perhaps.
UCONN should be focusing on helping BE get the biggest media deal possible, and get a much much better indy media deal for football vs. the current one.
