  1. Don't really know what to expect tonight. Only thing I know about Mich is they like to maintain a quicker tempo than we normally play at.
  2. Damn I really thought Reed's first shot was going in.
  3. Both centers are on the board first, so it's 2-2.
  4. 4 minutes in, and we've picked up 2 fouls to Mich's zip.
  5. 12:07 -- It's now 5 fouls called on on us, and still none on Mich.
  6. Mich finally got called for a foul at 11:55.
  7. Ross ties it from the FT line.
  8. Bad call against Mullin. Coach in refs ear about it. Both laughing. That ref quickly calls a make-up call on Mich, and Alex drills the fts to give us back the edge, 20 to 19.
  9. Mich player puts in a ball that was still on the rim. Of course they count it.
  10. Absolutely absurd officiating in Michigan's favor. 11 fouls to 4 at the half.
  11. Tarris shooting seems to have reverted to his regular season success rate. :(
  12. ALL Mich 1st half field goals came in the paint.
  13. When was the last time we only had 4 dimes in a half? Then again, Mich only has 3.
  14. Slipping away from us in 2nd half. Down seven at 16 minutes.
  15. Mich first FG from outside the paint at 14:16 in the 2nd half.
  16. Down double digits at 12:47
  17. Made a bit of a run, and we're within 5 at 8:18. But then 2 horrible, wasted possessions in a row.
  18. Back within 5, but with only about 40 seconds on the clock.
  19. This has to have been the worst officiated game of the year.
  20. And... we're done.

#9. I thought offensive goaltend too, but the replay showed the ball below and out of the cylinder.
That was the one in the 2nd half. They never showed a replay of the one in the first half.

13 made FT differential is going to stick in our craws. My thinking is that their physicality and size and our intense defensive effort led to a foul advantage. We really got into them to keep them in the 60’s and the refs wouldn’t have it. Of course they could have been called for fouls on us on almost every play but they were 2 feet from the rim on the majority of their shots and refs always call that.

I sort of agree, but the officials' refusal to call fouls on Michigan for obvious reach-ins and grabs was glaring. The free throw disparity should have been considerably less. The foul calls against Mullins (on what should have been a jump ball) and Reibe for absolutely nothing were particularly egregious. I hate to say it, but It almost seemed that was collective agreement among the officials that they would lean toward Michigan.

.-.
I meant to say, it almost seemed there was collective agreement among the officials to lean toward Michigan. And what about the illegal screen call against Tarris? Was that call even justified? I never saw a replay.
