What is the draft/vote, you're talking about. I agree AJ was vastly underrated .

If you've followed the "All-Time Husky Draft" threads, we're drafting teams of former/current UConn players. After the draft, the teams will "compete", with the winner determined by voting -- there will be polls where the Yard can vote on who they think would win the game.

We are starting with 8 teams, so there will be a tournament structure.

Kemba's move was the classic ankle breaker. Everybody in the gym knew he was taking the shot, especially after the switch, but there was nothing that anyone could do to stop it. I also don't think that you can ignore that the game was on the line. Big time pressure, big time move, big time shot.

It's the Kemba stepback.

I still watch that shot any time I'm having a bad day and need a boost.

Kemba.

AJ's ankle breaker against Marquette w is in a class with Kemba.

Kemba, in large part because I was there in the middle of a Pitt section and that shot came right into our laps / faces / direction

there was this annoying Pitt fan right behind us talking about how she wasn't worried because she knew they could never lose to UConn. After the game she said "who cares, we're still the better team and had the better year". We were not obnoxious (for a change) and not disrespectful in any way all game long. We were just smiling and cheering for our team as they were cheering for theirs. Although we did engage in respectful banter with everyone around us, we never spoke to her, yet she was addressing us with her we're superior comments all day long.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a section empty quicker, and "sometimes I wish I could see that girl again", especially some 25 days later.

Fun fact: While UConn famously had 11 postseason wins that year, Pitt, even with a pair of No. 1 seeds, managed a grand total of one postseason win that year.
