Can't post in the other thread so gonna have to post here. That looked like the McNeeley injury for Flagg, won't be surprised if that's it for him at Duke
 
Butler's lack of athleticism puts a ceiling on how good a team they can beat, and St. Johns is above that ceiling. Butler really looks like a mid-major trying to keep up with St. Johns.

Why is he still on the court? He looks like he is in pain, and Butler is not beating St. John's. Every possession is another opportunity for Smith to re-injure his shoulder in a game they don't need him.

I'm very confused by that. I assumed he'd sit out today regardless because Butler sucks, and I'm even more shocked he's still in the game now

Butler is what they have been all year, a set of big plodders who look out of shape but can hit some shots. When they're hitting shots, they can keep up for 30 minutes, then usually die off in the last 10. McCaffrey looks like his lives on a diet of french fries and hasn't touched a weight in his life. They are the YMCA pick up team of the BE.

I thought the final score should have been closer to a 10 point margin with all the missed bunnies and open looks Butler got.

He had thyroid cancer as a teenager and had two surgeries. Dealt with mental health issues last year.

Smith is pretty short and Hurley has b#tched this year about not having taller guards.
 
What a half Xavier is putting up right now - about to throw a 50 spot up on Marquette in the first half. This game has serious pace, up and down and the threes are flying. Fun game so far, looks like an SEC style game. The Muskateers have come to play, with intention. It's almost as if they know they have to win this one to lock up a bid.

I really hope that Shaka finds a better solution at the 5 for next year - Ben Gold is not a BE caliber 5.

Xavier running away from Marquette in the 1st half. Marquette really in a tailspin.

DWade courtside inspiring the comeback. This is the best I've seen Marquette offensively in a long time - they are nailing threes, 10 already. This may be the most entertaining BE basketball game so far this season.
 
3 ball falling for Marq in the 2nd half flipped the script on this game

These two teams are burning hot - gonna be interesting how winner responds tomorrow against StJ who had a full on cake walk today.

X is really struggling with random turnovers. This is usually what they do in the last 5 minutes but their brains died early today. hoping they can keep it together

Same here - such a fun game. Mitchell is such a pick pocket. Not sure there is guy out there that plays defense from behind his man better than him - always finds ways to poke at it.
