Best/Worst Transfers

Just an opinion on Timea Gardiner: she appears to me to be a little slower this year. All the skills seem to be there, but she might be fighting through a minor injury. I know that she was ill at one point, and was playing limited minutes, but that was awhile ago. In any case, I am hopeful that she "gets up to speed" more as the season wears on. According to all reports, though, she is pretty happy to be at UCLA.
It's also worth noting that not every player has "WNBA or bust" as their future (at least the immediate future--I think Timea Gardiner has another year to work on her potential pro resume). Some just want to be able to play for a great team and experience a certain level of team success (conference titles, national titles). UCLA seems poised to become a Final Four team this year, and I'm sure a player like Gardiner would feel more satisfaction helping her team win a natty as opposed to putting up huge numbers for a team that isn't going anywhere.

In addition to joining a final four capable program Gardiner, Barker and Leger-Walker all really enjoy living, playing and going to school in Los Angeles. Barker said as much in an interview. Gardiner and Leger-Walker post a lot of photos of when out and about in L.A.

I have enjoyed watching Kailyn Gilbert this year (former AZ transfer). Integrated quite well at LSU, She seems to be thriving.

For some reason I never saw Talia integrating that well at USC, just her style of play wasn't to me wasn't what USC needed
