Caulley, Orlovsky, Donald Brown, Eric Torkleson

Fincher, Darius Butler, Sio Moore, John Dorsey

Hard to compare best players ever when they play different positions, but gotta go with DanO, D Brown, and Darius Butler. And pre-injury Caulley.

If only Marcus Easley had been a 4-year WR - in 1/2 a season in '09 he was tremendous.

Maybe I mis-read the original post but....I broke it down in to the 3 categories and when they played in each category the most.

Pre Big East- John Dorsey, Shane Stafford, Dan Orlovsky

Big East Days- Donald Brown, Darius Butler, Tyvon Branch/ Jordan Todman

Post Big East-Geremy Davis, Shamar Stephen, Yawin Smallwood with Newsome & N Thomas creeping up

If that's the case --

Pre Big East: Caulley, Fincher, Orlovsky (honorable mention Tory Taylor and Erik Torkelson)
Big East: Donald Brown, Darius Butler, Reyes
Post Big East: Geremy Davis, Shamar Stephen, Noel Thomas

For entertainment value, 3 names that come to mind are:
1) Anthony Sherman - he made watching kickoffs fun
2) Nick Williams - punt returns!
3) Lawrence Wilson - he was in on EVERY tackle

Vinnie Clements (Pre 1970)
Erik Torkelson (early 1970s)
Ken Sweitzer (1980)
John Dorsey
Shane Stafford

Terry Caulley
Dan Orlovsky
Donald Brown
Darius Butler
Scott Lutrus
Sio Moore

QB-no brainer
RB- Brown close 2nd is Todman however a pre injury Terry Caulley was sick
FB-Sherminator, Deon Anderson was very good though
WR- Davis, Noel Thomas has a shot at getting there
OL-Beatty
DL- Osundi, Tyler King, Cody Brown
LB- Fincher, Moore, Lansanah
DB-Butler, Branch, Blidi, Summers has a shot
K- no brainer
PR-Taylor
KR- Williams and Taylor (Branch is up there)

Even thought it was only 2/3s of a season, Marcus Easley is the answer at wideout and it's not close.

Your DL is all DEs. Trevardo was a much better football player by the end than King or Osunde and you can't not have Reyes as a DT.

Fincher was a scary muthaduck. When I got a ticket for possession of alcohol by a minor on campus, UConn sent me to an alcohol education program. Fincher was my "counselor" for the one hour session. Me, three other kids and Fincher sitting around a table. I sat next to Fincher and because I did, I made sure never to get caught with alcohol on campus again. I never wanted him to glare at me again.

That said, because he might be reading this, my three are Alfred Fincher, Alfred Fincher and Alfred Fincher.
