I was at Gampel in 2004 for the most dominating stretch I witnessed. Against Oklahoma, which came in 10-0 and ranked No. 6, the Huskies went on a 29-5 run to turn a 7-5 deficit into a 34-12 lead. It was amazing basketball, and the place was going nuts.

(I looked up the details to make sure the specifics were correct, but I couldn't forget the dominanace).
I was at this game as well. It was the last UConn game I attended against a major opponent where we won. I don't have good luck when attending games against good teams. So I stopped going and go to only 1 or 2 home games a year usually against lower opponents. Those games when I attend we always seem to win. Because of my job (on call after hours a lot) and my 5 year old daughter I haven't been a great fan as far as attendance is concerned. As she gets older I hope to remedy that some.

Lol I was just gonna post the end of the 2004 National Semis against Duke till Swag beat me to it. But also the end of the 2004 BE tournament championship against Pitt. In my opinion both games are the best played basketball of the most talented UConn team ever when you consider the moment in each one.

The biggest for me though was 2004 Duke. Down 67-75 with 3 minutes to go, they went on 12-0 run to close out the game (Duhon hit that buzzer 3).

As Mike would say, "That was yuge!" My choice.

Reddick "really got a decent look" even though he had to "adjust his shot" and was "gliding to the left". What I consider a decent look requires neither adjusting nor gliding. How the hell did that guy have a job for so long?

2004 national semi and 2014 nation semi. High stakes and crushed dreams. That Florida team was good too, real good. I still can't quite understand what the hell happened in 2014.

OU game was one of the greatest Gampel experiences I had as a student. I had a sign with Danny Lavenders phone number, and I don't want to take credit for the blowout, but I think it was the deciding factor. Left some nice voice mail for him after the game

That is actually brilliant psychological fan warfare, tilting and innocent, I love it.

2010 Maui vs UK 23-2? To end the half. Kemba flashing that smile after banging back to back 3's then dropping the dime on Jamal Coombs-McDaniel before AO swats the leather off the ball before the buzzer.

10-0 opener against GTown at the Civy during husky mania.

Dallas comeback against Florida.

What else you got?

Tough call. I wasn't in the room either time, but probably JC's runs during halftime of our March 20, 2004 win over DePaul or his runs during our January 13, 2007 win over St. John's.

There are just so many to choose from!

I don't remember what kind of run it was, but that first half against Alabama in the 2004 Elite 8 might have been the best half I've seen UConn play. Especially for a big, important game. Rashad Anderson and Ben Gordon were huge that game. I remember Rashad blowing on his fingers like they were on fire late in the first half after another 3 pointer. I knew after that game nobody was going to stop them on the way to the championship. Of course Duke almost did but the Huskies pulled it out.

We had a bunch of the folks in our section chanting "you can't stop him, you can't stop him" every time Rashad or Ben touched the ball in the first half. It was insane how hot they were.

No mention of the umass game when we were down like 30 at halftime?

I think we had a nasty run to start the 04 title game as well as the 14 title game.

Louisville 09 was another

There were also a couple great game-opening runs in Round of 32 games. 17-2 vs. Cal at the Civic Center and 17-0 vs. New Mexico in 1999.

That NM game was over before the sports bar where I went to watch even figured out how to get it on the TV.

All of our previous Elite 8 games were brutal, even the one we won. It was nice to have a cakewalk. And Alabama was the hot team at that moment. They were getting plenty of upset talk.
