Amore has put out a lot more work than any other beat writer with the exception of Duffy. Ostrout and Daigneault have had almost nothing since the season ended. Granted, Amore has more resources to work with, but he's still putting in a lot of work.
He just was on campus today with a story about off-season workouts. He wrote a great piece on Calhoun, he's really the only guy whose been able to get Calhoun on the record since the season ended. He's one of the most respected writers in the state.
His start was a little bit weird, but it's clear that you haven't paid attention at all in the last few months.
It's hard to say "no offense" before writing this this, but, no offense, you're an idiot.
The "Calhoun at 70" article was his only decent contribution to the beat since he took over, and I'd venture to guess, as I'm sure many intelligent people would, that he procured that interview purely because he is the Courant rep (meaning ANYONE repping the Courant would've had it).
Apart from this, everything he has done since august has been, "oh woe is me this is what I have to write, let's keep it to 200 words so I can still go see what happened in MLB".
I honestly think you must be his son or nephew, because thinking he's done even an adequate job is a joke.
Having the Courant access and exposure means an added responsibility to go beyond... What's he's done is often antiquated, and his negativity in chats and blog posts permeates.
If you want me to define any of the above words please let me know, because you're either his son, his nephew, or an idiot.
