Title says it all. Looking for a good bar/restaurant near the CCSU campus to watch today. Thanks.

A few options nearby in Newington.

The Bar — Right by CCSU. Very much a dive. Good TV setup and really good wings
TJs on Cedar — center of Newington. Less of a dive. Good TV setup and bar food.
Rooster — Center of Newington. Less of a game-watching spot but the food is awesome and they have a good bar with a couple TVs I’m sure would be on the game.

Thanks for the info. Based on googling I was thinking about the Hive, but maybe I'll try The Bar instead.

Hit RT 9 Chicago Sams in Cromwell not far, should have the sound on as well.

Many times a solid UConn fan bar. Back in the day it was the Boneyard get together for the Final Four in '99, known as Rookies back then!

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Wethersfield to watch an away game this year. Good energy. Fans yelling and cheering.

Too late for today but in the future try Sliders in Newington.it is on Episcapal Drive. One block from the Berlin Turnpike. It was there when I lived in Newington /Berlin area during the last ice age.

Thanks, wound up going to The Bar, and it was just as you described. A lot of TVs, the wings were great. They even put on the game sound for us without us asking. The two bartenders were super nice as well.
