We've got a small local chain here that's won in several categories over the years and it sucks. It only has conveyor ovens at its shops, while in competition they use a traditional deck. They won something like "stretchiest dough" with a dough recipe they've never used in their shops. Also won "best pizza" with some concoction with duck confit that's not on their menu.
