Holy cow - on that first picture someone needs to go into it and put a "name" to each player so we can hover over them and see who it is. What a great photo of so many greats!!!
Please, someone do that.

Great, great, great pictures. On the three on three, no one is greater than, Sue, Diana and Maya. No one....

To EricLA and others, I knew this task was undertaken before so I dug a little.
Go back some 30 pages or so and:

Thanks to all the detectives.

Generational, Rushmorean 3 on 3

Note that DT3 seems to be sitting in seat #3, since Sue is in #2.

Quiz: What game are they watching?

Happens to be the same game as the OP's "Best Photo Ever" - Nov 20, 2024 v. FDU - Auriemma's 40th Anniv celebration.

What an iconic photo. Here is a question for you, the answer I know and most Boneyarders know. Just for fun, all six of these players were from different classes so they all could have been #1 recruits out of high school, but one was not. Which player was NOT a #1 recruit out of high school?

This is an amazing photo. 3 great Olympians with 3 future great Olympians. In the top 3's primes, who wins the 3 on 3 game?
Age and treachery will always defeat youth and exuberance! If DT, Sue & Maya get to keep all of their experience and at their prime? Got to go with the "old" dream team of DT, Sue & Maya. As Geno says, "you can't have too many guards!" I'm pretty sure that was before Maya was a forward in the media guide (and Gabby Williams was listed as a center).

Go Huskies!!!

With that lead? Could be one of many!

Pretty sure it was win #1217 against Fairleigh Dickenson University, 4th game of the 2024-2025 season.

Go Huskies!!!

As I recollect, Azzi was the high school player of the year--but as a sophomore. I believe she was injured in her senior year of high school. So, I suppose technically, she was not the #1 recruit "out of high school."

I think Azzi was ranked number one. I would guess Sue possibly was not.

If those 3 decided to get the sneakers out of the closet they could give any other three a hard time.

Yup. Sue was 20th.
Yep, it was Sue. It's hard to believe that she was ranked so low, but of course once they get here and what they do with it is why they come to UConn. Not a number one recruit out of high school, but a number one pick in the WNBA draft.

Depends on what you're using for ratings. Not even sure Hoopgurlz/ESPN was around then. But BlueStar was, and neither DT or Bird were ranked #1. DT was #2 behind Ashley Robinson. But I think she was #1 on ASGR.

Bird however was ranked #18 in BlueStar, behind Williams (#1), Cash (#2), Jones (#5) and Walters (#13).

Azzi missed part of her junior season due to the ACL tear resulting from contact with Hailey Van Lith. Her senior season was abbreviated due to Covid. I think she remained HG #1 for the entire time.
