Same with Westbrook. 2-3 knee surgeries in 2013, goes on to win MVP a few years later and kicks off a streak of averaging a triple double for multiple seasons as a PG that relies 100% on explosive strength and athleticism to play. Still playing big minutes in the league a decade after the injuries

Wilkins should have been one of the 10 best players in NBA history, but he didn’t play defense or develop the killer instinct until he didn’t have the team around him for it to matter.

I think his back was involved too. I didnt think he'd ever play at a high level again. That major was one of the best moments in my sports lifetime and I'm not even a big Tiger fan.
