Thank you once again for your feedback on the last 2. Please let me know if I missed anyone :)

Fun fact:

Kevin Ollie’s 2013-2014 coaching staff has the most career assists total than any other UCONN coaching staff

Kevin Ollie (619) + Glen Miller (115) + Karl Hobbs (534) + Ricky Moore (510) = 1,778 career assists

When you consider who his teammates were
Jalen Adams 6.2 was remarkable and is also and worth noting.
KO , Shef, played with Donyell and Ray. I could have gotten 3-4 a game
Throw the ball to Ray and he hits a jumper.
Marcus played with Rudy, Hilton, Rashad , Denham , Josh Boone
Marcus’s numbers are still amazing
when you consider he missed the cupcake schedule.
However Jalen had to create shots for the whole team . Rudy and DB could create.. Anderson was deadly .
Jackson, Purvis , Vital, Facey , Brimah
Decent but not exactly murder’s row.

The answer is Marcus Williams and I don't think it's terribly close. But worth pointing out that Daniel Hamilton really was an incredibly gifted passer. If he was a tiny bit more athletic or a slightly better shooter he really would have been something in this game.

Marcus Williams was the best assist man, but nowhere near my favorite Husky point. I like a good showboat pass every now and again. But a consistent diet of them only works if your name is Magic. If I want a point guard who gets the job done it's tough not to go with one of Kemba, Bazz, Ricky and Taliek.

Marcus Williams, hands down.

Side note: I used to watch the team play pick up games quite a bit in the pre season when Marcus was here. I got to see him throw some passes he would never attempt in a game (or a practice) with Jim Calhoun on the bench. Needless to say, some of the passes I’ve seen him throw are mind blowing.

In case anyone forgot just how good of a passer (and overall player) he was. 30+ minutes of highlights for ya!

In my memory, MW was a lot more flamboyant than he was in those highlights. Watching that, most of the tricky moves and extra shakes were on drives to the hoop, not on dimes. The thing that stands out is how accurate his passes were, even when he had to adjust the pass to avoid the defense. He was head and shoulders above the rest in the assist column.

kMarcus was great, Taliek was my favorite, KO was very calm and efficient and Jalen by far most underrated . KEA was overrated as an assist guy but no one had a bigger heart or moxie

Doron was the best passer hands down

Have Marcus 1 but Doron a close 2 you do have an argument for the best. His catch an outlet and let a 45 footer rip to a streaking Husky was absolutely pin point Dimes.

Like someone mentioned Daniel Hamilton you can add Nadav Henefeld to the top big men passers. Nadav was probably the best of them great vision.

Marcus is #1 but in terms of passes leading to dunks and wide-open 3's, Shabazz was exceptional as well.

The good old days when you used to report on the pick up games at Gampel.

Doron in his last year averaged a ridiculous 6.1 assists to 0.5 turnovers … dude always valued the ball

Great numbers huh. A very underrated all timer in Storrs no doubt. We didn’t have Ricky versus Miss St in ‘96 but it was Doron playing injured and at about 60-70 percent that also impacted us.
