Given the rumors about WVU and the Big 12 going to 12...

rebuild the Big East, with a more northeastern flavor. If we are going independent, we might as well shut down the football program and bulldoze the Rent.

Build a 9 team conference with Rutgers, UConn, USF, Temple, Houston, Southern Miss, UCF, SMU, and James Madison. If Navy, Air Force, and Boise all want to come along, that's 12.

uconn/ruty/temple/ecu/usf/ucf is a good starting spot.

Re-build the Big East and hope like hell for an invite elsewhere (a.k.a. continue to #BegHarder)

Join the best of the remainders for football only.

Form an all sports BE with separate contract and commisioner. Call it re-rooting and back to the basics. Best 12 basketball teams available with all the BE regulars included.

Football will finally get what it wants: a split from basketball, free to test its might value in the marketplace.

When that's done form a UConn Network and mandate a $2.00 a month carrier fee.

Northeast flavor to me would have to include UConn, RU, Buffalo, UMass, Temple to start. Add ECU, Memphis, Army, Navy, Marshall. If Nova continues with their upgrade you have two divisions 5. If Cincy doesn't go you keep them (need them for hoops), otherwise USF and UCF give you a 12 team all sports conference. I'm sure some people would want to puke at that list of schools, but lets face it, it ain't getting much better than that. If Nova upgrades, you leave Marshall out and add the Florida schools, if you get Cincy.

Stay away from another hybrid league, where making moves is too cumbersome due to the different interests of the schools within the conference.

Couldn't we have easier choices? Those are all so depressing! I went for independent, even though I know it's not realistic!

I abstain. I didn't see a "join the CAA" option.
