BG is frustrated. But he's letting the frustration get the best of him. Hope he can overcome it.

He needs to clean it up.

I'm befuddled by the kid, really. I know Detroit and Charlotte are black holes for players these days ... but he just took a major hit after leaving Chicago.

Ben is probably my favorite husky of all time and its very disappointing reading that. Pulling for him though and I hope he can get through this slump.

he will flourish after this contract ends for some playoff team. will be 30 yrs old, same situation as jamal crawford. think about teams like the pacers, blazers, bulls, grizzlies, nets. they have absolutely no scoring punch off the bench and have the defenders to cover for a microwave player like BG

It looks like he may get traded to a willing buyer. Young Kemba outperforming him must have added a little salt to injury. All of the other Bobcats guards are a lot younger and tad or two quicker. Lack of super quickness - he is not slow - has been his biggest weakness making him not super effective at defense. I was hoping that the three Huskies in Cats uniform would persevere together but it looks like Ben, one of my all-time favorite Huskies, is going somewhere else. Should that happen, I am wishing that Dyson could be hired as an inexpensive backup guard upon his return from Israel. He is just a tad less quicker than super quick Kemba and at 6-3 or 6-4 is somewhat bigger than Ben. I'd still prefer, though, that Ben - still very young - will exorcise his demons, get humble, and remain with Kemba and the Cats. Go Ben!

I think he is what he is at this point. He didn't take a major hit after leaving Chicago, he left for a huge paycheck.

I'm not making excuses for his behavior, but Ben Gordon's really not the type of player who belongs in Detroit or Charlotte. He's a guy who was meant to play in big games - he craves the big moment, the big shot, etc. He's already proven that in the right situation he can win you two playoff games. I posted last year that the Clippers were the perfect spot for him - he's virtually the same player as Jamal Crawford, who has had an extremely positive impact this season.

Ironically, Chicago is the best fit for BG right now, IMO. The Bulls desperately need another scorer, and his defensive flaws could be partially masked by Thibedeau's top-notch defensive schemes. If Nate Robinson can play minutes for Chicago, BG would have no problem playing 30 minutes a night and taking shots in crunch-time. Memphis would be another ideal destination for him. Similar to Chicago, they are one of the stingiest defensive units in the league desperately in need of a two guard who can space the floor. Him and Tony Allen would basically be the perfect offense/defense tandem down the stretch.

Unfortunately, BG's contract makes him difficult to trade. So he needs to make the best of a tough situation for another year or two.
