7 treys in the second quarter (7-7 from deep overall)

One away from the NBA record for threes in a quarter. Would love to see him back on a playoff team

When he is 'hot' he's an all star. I guess he doesn't stay hot often enough. But he surely has all star potential.

If anyone has followed him closely, I just wonder why he hasn't dominated on the level of other stars.

Seems that Ben Gordon is on the wrong team.. a playoff caliber team could use a guy with his skillset off the bench..

I'm going to start a "Free Ben Gordon" movement, because it is an absolute travesty that he is on that team. Ben Gordon may not be the star some hoped, but when he gets going, MAN HE CAN REALLY SCORE! Seriously, there may not be five guys in the league who can put up buckets like BG can when he gets in a zone. Unfortunately, this only seems to happen every 5-10 games.

Which brings me to my point. Why the hell did the Pistons sign him? I can't fault BG for taking the most money, but man, that is just a horrible fit. You're talking about a team that already has two other combo guards in Knight and Stuckey. It's beyond me why a team like the Clippers didn't call at the trade deadline and offer something for him. It bugs the out of me that the prime of his career is rotting away in Detroit. He was born into this world so he could come off the bench for a playoff team in a big game and drop 30 points.

Nobody is trading for BG's contract with the way he's produced since going to the Pistons. Lol @ it being a travesty that he's on that team, he SIGNED THERE. BG was my favorite UConn NBA'er when he was on the Bulls but he hasn't done anything to live up to that deal and the Pistons would be a better team if BG(and CV) played up to his past level.

If you're a UConn fan, I don't see how you can't be disappointed by the current situation in Detroit. I never said he wasn't partially responsible, or that he had a gun to his head when he signed. My point is, BG was a guy meant to be the fourth or fifth opion on a contender, not somebody who was supposed to come in and turn around a disfunctional team.

CV and BG have disappointed in Detroit, but are you really surprised? Those were bad signings from the beginning. How much is BG making right now? Ask Chris Paul if he'd like to have a running mate capable of dropping 40 points in a playoff series instead of his current supporting cast. BG is rotting away on a team who is rebuilding when he could be helping a contender march towards the finals. If that doesn't disappoint you, ok.

I think the fun thing about watching Ben was that he was the 4th or 5th who could consistently give you 12-15, but any given night could be your #1 option. There are a ton of teams that would love to have him, just not at the price he's currently being paid.

I would love for Ben to be amnestied and move onto a team like the Clippers. Him and Paul would be deadly offensively.

Would love for him to be like Jason Terry...6th man/scorer but always in the game during crunch time.

Lakers?

I think we should be talking about him as the 2nd option (or 1A) on a contender. He is certainly good enough. He needs to be on a team with a true point guard.

Funny how him and Rip Hamilton are so similar. Last season Rip was in the same exact situation BG is in now, where he had no true PG to get him the ball off those screens. As soon as he got traded to a team with a great head coach and selfess teammates he thrived.

Jason Terry is a great comparison for BG. Extremely similar players.

Rip thrived this year? He was basically a non entity the entire year and had Bulls fans lamenting them signing him. Hopefully he is well rested and ready to go for the playoffs because with this Rose injury they're going to need him.

Gordon to the Knicks!
Would be nice to see him there, but he'd have a better shot playing with the other team in Brooklyn ( Nets ... for now.. think they are gonna change their name since they're moving )

Would love for BG to come off the bench for the Knicks but we can barely afford to keep J.R. Smith for next year. I doubt we can afford BG.

They're both short two guards who can light it up in a hurry, but I think BG is quicker and more athletic.
