Today the Bobcats waived Gentle Ben, about 13 hours after the deadline for playoff eligibility - meaning he can't go run off and sign with a contender like so many other waived/bought-out players do this time of year (well he can technically sign, just can't play in the postseason).

Apparently he pissed off most of the Bobcat organization and was working on a buyout but when the two sides couldn't reach an agreement the front office decided to keep BG just long enough to screw him over. Quite an " You" on the way out the door in the NBA world. Sounds like your typical MJ "vengeance" move.

Hopefully next year he signs with a decent team, his playoff performances with Chicago 4-5 years ago were pretty damn awesome.

I feel for Ben. He isn't handling disappointment properly but I can see how a guy with his talent would be very frustrated. It is hard for someone that is so prolific offensively to accept that his complete game isn't quite up to snuff. He needs to change his attitude and teams will be much more accepting of his flaws.

I mean some say he fell off, but in reality he had been getting shafted by the Bobcats.

Pretty much the same thing that happened to KEA.

Have to think this doesn't help the Bobcats with free agents. Wonder how much they were asking him to leave on the table in a buyout. It must have been a lot if he chose that over not being able to join a playoff team.

Michael Jordon is a scumbag. I used to be a dealer in a casino and he never tipped anyone even when he won millions playing blackjact. I refused to deal to him because of his attitude and behavior.

I just hope Kemba can get the hell out of that minor league franchise.

So you refused to deal Michael Jordan a hand of cards because he was a ?
And I'm sure your casino backed you up. I mean, you were a very valuable employee, and it must be really hard to find people willing to deal cards in Las Vegas. Much easier to throw out the richest customer in the establishment. Okay.

Right.....

Haha, so if he was losing would you or the Pitt boss give him some chips, somewhat the reverse?

lol...sure you did.

"Ahem, Mr. Casino Owner, I, your run-of-the-mill casino worker, am refusing to deal cards to the mega-millionaire who has just sat at my table. I don't like his attitude and demand that you find someone who is willing to deal with his sort of rabble. I shall be in the break room awaiting more agreeable clientele."

Tough to feel bad for Gordon. He was grossly overpaid for his on court performance. And his stats didn't just suffer in Charlotte, they were pretty bad the last couple of seasons in Detroit.

So Ben went to war against a superior opponent and lost. In my world employees always lose going against the owner of a company. The boss you have a slight chance but the owner?? Come on Ben.....

The timing certainly seems over-the-top exculpatory/deliberate assault against Ben G...hopefully, he can appeal to the league and be allowed to join a playoff team.
He got paid but it was terrible for his career to leave the Bulls.

Relax. It was this guy.
