Ben Gordon Huskies of Honor January 29

If that was the case, why would UConn wait until the last minute to announce this?

I just wish him well and hope he's staying the course.

Thank you posting this. It's a good article and will put its readers in a different frame of mind.

Gives the thread a pretty unusual arc: intriguing headline, non-linked source, sincere question, amusing/muting context, and call for compassion with a helpful link.

Best wishes to Ben.

It’s great that he’s come through this, seems to be in a good place now.

I've been afraid to read Ben articles lately. This is great, he deserves it.

Does Calhoun coach road games at St Joes? Looks like they have a game @ Albertus Magnus. Find it hard to believe Calhoun wouldn’t be there.

Yes, good point. Thats why I would be surprised if this is a legit thing. Its 4 days away and UConn has yet to make an announcement on this. You would think If they were doing a special ceremony during one of the games, It would be announced at least 2-3 weeks ahead of time like they did for the Gampel 30th anniversary with the 1990 team being honored. Its just the smart thing to do so it gives time to buy tickets to the game for the people that would want to go just because of the ceremony.

Don’t be.

He’s overcome whatever he was going thru. It’s part of his story. He’s impacting others in a positive way now. I’m so excited to see his posts on Instagram. Hes rolling now!

A lot of these guys don’t know what to do when their career ends, it’s all they’ve ever cared about and their identity is wrapped up in their sport only instead of being balanced. So when it ends, it’s often ugly. May have been case with Ben.

enjoy this one!
After years of struggle, Ben Gordon has found his calm
