Dee couldn't have been happy about her play yesterday, so she went into GOAT mode today. She was not going down without a fight, figuratively speaking. Jewell did a nice job hitting spot-up 3s and playing with energy on defense. And Stewie was looking like the MVP. Sue had 7 assists and 1 TO. Of course.
The 33-18 third quarter accounted for the margin of victory.
The playing time was noteworthy tonight. Nneka 8 minutes, A'ja 5 minutes, Layshia 3 minutes, and Morgan 2 minutes. Elena played 18. I think Dawn wanted her perimeter shooting. Stewie led with 33, Dee played 31, Sue had 29, and Britt had 27. Jewell played 19.
The A:TO ratio of 24:13 was good, and the 19-19 FT shooting was excellent. Belgium's A:TO was slightly better, 25:13.
I'd like to see more of the Belgians play in the W. They are well schooled and fun to watch. Their fans are enthusiastic.
