I strongly disagree with lumping Polley and Gaffney in with the others. AJ and Hawk make to many freshman mistakes on D, and get beat either by missing a rotation or losing concentration and getting beat. Gaffney and Polley are both solid defenders. Not spectacular — everyone can’t be your best defender — but solid.
