The coaching staff is making adjustments to the team working on their cohesiveness and continuity. This takes time. More importantly it takes time for those adjustments to become reflexive so that they are done without thinking and done with confidence. When making adjustments and tweeking in your game you sometimes have to take a step back... maybe a couple of steps back before you can take a step forward. We saw that in the last game. We may see that again tonite. Thats all part of growing and development to get the team better. Those of you who have played sports know that when you make a correction in your game it takes time and you usually play worse before you adapt to the change(s) youve made to get better. UConn is young. This season the team came in without a senior nucleaus to rely on unlike past seasons. We are going through growing pains. The coaching staff knew that and hey lets face it most of us thought we were in for a very unlike UConn season with alot of losses. We have one loss to date. So the preparation continues for the rest of the season. Some how some way we fought through it in our last game. We will continue to have to fight through it for the rest of the season. Some of the positives out of the last game is CD is looking for her shot, Anna is shooting more, Liv showed us a left hook shot and took the ball to the hoop and we didnt miss a bunch of layups. We didnt look great but we won by double digets on the road.

We've got the talent, and we've got the coaching and its slowly coming together but it will take time. Look for the improvements tonite and look for a win tonite and Forget about the last game. Looking in a rear view mirror takes you no where.

I think it would be "grave" mistake to take AAC games and opponents for granted THIS year as we have done in the past. This is basically a 3 man team that can't blow away conference teams as prior 5 man teams have, especially on the road. Unfortunately, this team has on occasion appeared to play down to the level of its competition. If that continues, that trend could prove costly.
