My friend is a photographer. He spent some time at Katmai Park. He lived among the grizzlies. The only thing separating the grizzlies from their tents was this 2 V battery. Check out the photos.

I saw a full sized stuffed grizzly in an Alaska museum. Up close looking at the size and claws is truly intimidating. These are not like the black bears we see in Ct. Even the big ones. No tent for me in grizzly country.

Sometimes, in early morning, wolves also visit the falls.

Couldn’t recommend visiting Katmai more. Fun part is hiking out to viewing platform (where camera is located) and meeting bears coming the opposite way on the same trail.
