BCU plays its Super Bowl on Thursday night.

Make no mistake, this is their biggest game of the season, not UNC, not Duke. The Huskies have treated them like little brothers since the 90's.

They are not very good but they will be very motivated. A win here would make their season. While a loss to BCU would be a minor annoyance for the Huskies. A win would be a source of pride for BCU that they would trumpet for a year (maybe longer).

I expect to win. But I wouldn't be surprised to see BCU play hard and perhaps do something stupid.

Hope uconn wins by 39. But to your point. These kids where really young like 5 or younger when uconn/bc had some street fights. Also I think bc has had two different head coaches since the old days. Bc seperated it self from this yearly game well. We might have more bad blood because of them blocking us from the acc

I don't even know what you're trying to say.

BC could be 0-28 and I'd root for them to lose 29.

UConn is like 29-1 the last 30 times we've played them. So UConn is certainly not threatened by this team. We just don't like'em.

Super bowls and such are typically the two best teams around. Their super bowl game will be against a Div 2 team that is equal to them. You don't call the Washington Generals a Super Bowl type team.

Hardly ever go to another team's forum but it was interesting. Similar to UConn football posters wanting PP gone. They don't have a profanity filter. They do have a cheerleader thread with similar commentary to our cheerleader thread!

Uconn needs to take care of business. bcu is giving up almost 50% shooting on defense (49.4%). Their opponents have taken more free throws and bcu is being outrebounded by 42 on the season. We are giving up only 34% shooting and as much attention as our rebounding has been given, we are +6 on the glass so far. Our offense is scoring at 53.6% clip.....in other words, we are DOOOOOOOMED

He's trying to say that a loss is more than a minor annoyance. And it is. It would be their SuperBowl if they win, but it will cause an epic meltdown if they lose to BC: both because of who BC is and what they have done, and because they look worse than mediocre on the court.

An epic beatdown of BC, while certainly not suddenly rapturing UConn into a P5 conference, will feel very cathartic. And I, for one, want to feel that cartharsis.

And I suspect I am not alone, since there are a million threads on here about BC, and all sorts of threads trashing them.
