Quote of the day from ESPN...'Boston College should they go 0 for in football and basketball in the same season would be the first program to do so in a major conference since WWII.

So this is the program that the ACC selected and then let blackball one of the winningest college basketball programs in the last 30 years. BC and the ACC, the deserve each other.

.-.
And this is after Wake Forest booted their best player and another who played significant minutes off the team this week.

well at least their incoming class will help jk it sucks
How on earth did Ollie lose out to BC for the Mike Sagay sweepstakes!?! In our own backyard nonetheless!

New coach with old coach's players. Different style so you should expect a bad transition year, but this is epic. Even Boston sports radio has picked up on it. And the National Publicity - you can't buy it!! Couldn't be happening to a better school.

Final score, Wake 74, BC 48.

BC is 'lucky' in that they have 3 mediocre teams left with V Tech (14-13) and G Tech (15-12) at home and at NC State (14-13) away while they get Clemson at home who will be fighting for a NCAA bid. I think V Tech is their best shot because while G Tech's record is not good, they have been in every game and have won a few (today v ND for example) and while NC State has been poor, BC has only won one road game - neutral site versus Fordham.

.-.
Ah, the legacy of DeFilippo. True incompetence will always show up at some point and man has this revealed itself quickly. His hires for BB and football coached were absolutely horrible.

They should have hired Calhoun in 2014 - I guarantee you he wouldn't have zero conference wins.
I've told this before but it fits here. During JC's first year, the Boston Herald wrote, "If Robinson and Gamble are declared academically ineligible as expected, the team UConn puts on the floor will be the worst in the history of the Big East"

Of course UConn won...on ESPN...at BCU.

BCU went into the ACC hidden in Miami's butt as a bone to Miami northern alumni.

They are now hidden in the ACC's butt. The more things change.

.-.
I watched some of this game.....the horror and sound of it was like a truck falling off of the empire state building. It was truly a site to see a team be that bad at something against another bad team.

Moving to the ACC has absolutely been the worst thing that ever happened to BC football and basketball, at least as far as on field performance is concerned. Proving that karma is a real thing.

BC deserves whatever wicked things happen to them
A completely clueless fan base, a garbage athletic department (hockey exception) and in a town that doesn't give a rats about the school

down 15 at home to VT with under 7 minutes left. One game closer to history!!

They're about to become infamous for something more than being two-faced liars.

Now I get what they really mean when they say they "don't need" to play us; they don't need any more embarrassment and double-digit blowouts

.-.
And the legend continues to grow, BC falsl at home to V Tech by 15, 71 to 56. They have 3 more chances - home versus GT, away at NC St & home versus Clemson. V Tech and their prior game at Wake likely represented their best two chances to win this season in the ACC.

UConn is best know for wining the men's and women's basketball NCAA titles in the same season, twice.

BC may now be best known to be the only major college program to go winless in conference play in the two major revenue sports (basketball and football) in the same academic year since before WWII. BC Eagles representing the ACC with pride and cashing those check with no shame.
