Got a chuckle out of this line from Jacobs:

"Even my own arguments with Calhoun don't last seven years. Let's get over it."

Based on some of his articles about Calhoun last season, I'm not sure if Jacobs has gotten over things.

Like I said, I'm a moron.... ESPN doesn't have a dozen other options and weak states like Rhode Island haven't been picking off much less important employers than ESPN.

Boston College is a 115 lb weakling and they haven't used every ounce of their leverage against Connecticut? I'm sure an industry giant like ESPN will just roll over because a couple of lawyers get involved.

I agree with the first sentence. Otherwise, I think your argument is that we should be cheering for ESPN to wipe out our athletic program. That I can not agree with.

Kidding aside, if you think we are all finished and the athletic program is ruined and there is nothing we can do, why do you keep posting here? Is it basic trolling?

Yeah, that was great. At least he's able to use some self-deprecating humor about his inability to get over arguments. GdF will just keep crying 10 years from now when he's Assistant AD at UMass.

How is pointing out that suing ESPN might be counterproductive trolling? Who is cheering for ESPN? I don't think we are finished and have never implied that we are.

Please pardon the moron who wrote that. The Freep sports column writers have been in a constant free fall for years. Last year, some guy opined that BU was a solid candidate for the Big East.
