really concerns me. Is he sick, is he tired or maybe sick and tired of his teammates?

I agree. I felt something was wrong too.

Noticed it for several games. He's not being smart--NBA guys look at him every game. His demeanor could be the difference for a locked contract or a bus ride through Europe. He needs to play the first 35 minutes like the last 5--have determination confidence and leadership written all over him ALL game. If we notice it--NBA scouts are all over it.

He's gassed. He can't play 2-on-1 when he's the 1. They trapped him every ball screen tonight, and I don't think he ever gave it up the screener, who probably wouldn't handle it very well anyway. We are very predictable. Luckily we have 2 guys that can create their own shot most of the time. Just a lousy offense to watch for the other 3.

It looks like he's not having fun, but he rarely did after his freshman year. Except for Brimah, they all look stoic a lot, not just Bazz. It could be the recent losses, and even the pressure of nail-biters which really takes a toll emotionally.

Winning puts smiles on faces, blowouts produce 'toothy' grins. Therefore, I conclude we need a couple of blowouts.

Thought the same thing at the game yesterday. Reminded me of that Elvis Costello song, "I would rather be anywhere else, but here, today.

Ollie's army are on their way
And I would rather be anywhere else

We're deep enough thay Bazz shouldn't have to play that much. Thase games shouldn't even be that close. Linehan should be seeing 5 minutes a game

Napier’s knee has been bothering him since the Stanford game, swelling up and just generally causing him to be less Bazz-like. “Certain practices I’ll play through it, and then I’ll take the last 10 minutes off,” he said. “I have this new routine I’m doing to make sure it heals up quicker, because I do play a lot of minutes, and that hinders it from getting healthy.” Bazz was sporting a compression brace for the first time. “It actually felt great today,” he said. “I’ll stick to the routine and hopefully be healthy by Sautrday.”

Bazz's physical limitations more than anything else are what's going to keep him from a guaranteed NBA contract. He's small, plays below the rim, and already at age 22, is hampered by chronic lower-body issues: feet, ankles, knees, which exacerbate those deficiencies.

That said, as a leader he does have to be more careful about the body language he projects -- the rest of the team looks up to him and feeds off of him. If he looks worn down and morose, it's that much harder for the rest of the team -- including already timid guys like DD and Nolan -- to get up and play confidently. This was one of the biggest issues contributing to the trainwreck that was 2012.

If Bazz and the team read the Boneyard no wonder they look depressed...

I agree they are out of sorts but they beat Harvard, a great win. They had a bad loss at Houston, otherwise season on track. We were never a top 10 team and we aren't an NIT team...we are a top 35 team who maybe gets hot in march and makes a run...ok with me this season with this roster.

I could kind of agree but at least play somewhat inspired team ball.......please.

Was at the game last night & woman sitting next to me said during the player intros that the team looked like they were at a funeral. She was right.

Coach Miller on the WTIC post-game show said team was definitely way too tight in the beginning of the game...

I know this game was a must-win after a couple of losses, but gotta bring the energy fellas.
Especially at home.

Is it a result of schedule. I would like to think not, as you should be able to get the juices flowing for any game once your out there. But unless we are playing a big time named team or in MSG we seem to be flat and not up for these games. So although the schedule appears to be tough coming up (Memphis/Louisville) these seem to be the only types of games we come out with any energy for.

Is that what it's come to? Calling a close home victory against an Ivy missing their best player "a great win"?

No it won't. It may shorten his career, but he has more than enough ability to carve out time as a backup point.

It wasn't close, we played poorly while harvards midget pg nailed a bunch of threes. Should have ended as a 10+ victory. Even with Saunders , Harvard is a great matchup for us. And they aren't slouches. See ncaat and even games against Colorado.

This is parody, right? Wasn't close? We shoulda beat Houston and Stanford by 10+. Let's put those in the win column as well.
