He is playing too many minutes every game and the fatigue is showing. He isn't making key FTs and his energy seems sapped by the end of the game. We may not have a viable option with Boatright out but no matter what combination JC comes up with, Boatright needs some rest. Maybe he plays Allen for 4 2 minute stretches a game and we slow it down when he is in there.
Lamb is another player who seems to need some bench time. Fatigue is effecting his shooting.
We are getting beat to loose balls regularly and generally look exhausted.

He also needs to be held accountable when he takes a bad shot and wastes a possession. I'm not as down on him as some people but right now he's above the law, and that just cant be the case

I said this a week or two ago about Nappier. He is gassed. There is a big difference between being "the guy" and being a supporting player, and it is wearing him out. We have had some very good point guards at UConn over the years, but how many of them were productive playing big minutes as a sophomore? El Amin is really the only one. Even Ollie was not very good as a starting point his sophomore year, and he went on to a long NBA career. Point guard is hard, and even harder for Calhoun. Taliek was a McD AA and he didn't figure out the position until about halfway through his Senior year. Even Doron Scheffer's production went down when he switched to full-time PG his junior year. Price and Marcus Williams were both much better as juniors than sophomores.

I think the fatigue is both mental and physical, and I think Napier should have a hard cap of 35 minutes per game. The incremental exhaustion of those last 5 minutes is huge. I would like to see Napier come out around the 10 minute mark of each half for a couple of minutes, and maybe steal a minute or two somewhere else around a TV TO. Also, Calhoun has said that Lamb and Napier have to learn to get some rest during the game, something El Amin was a master at.

Lamb needs a rest also, his jump shot looked tired. He hit the front of the rim a lot in the tenn and the last game.

Ncaa screwed us with boatright
