Big win to boost confidence and get things back on track. Wasn’t always pretty, but got it done. Love seeing Mahaney, Samson, and McNeeley have big games

McNeeley really stepped up as a shot creator tonight. A couple of his misses were pretty obvious fouls that went uncalled and would have added to the total. Great game from him.

Really needed that. Baylor IMO is good not great and were missing some, as we were with AK, but we need that one.

McNeeley is real good, Jaylin was a bright spot and overall our bigs played well. Defense was a lot better in the 2nd half other than last couple mins. No clue why Ahmad is back nailed to the bench, especially when Hassan was no good for a lot of the game.

Solo is an awful defender. He can hit some shots, but I don’t think there has ever been a guard with his physical profile this bad defensively. On top of his lack of skill, he has no focus. Hurley has a decision to make methinks. Ross was awful and got the boot, Solo was arguably more detrimental and got all the mins. It’s all a bit confusing.

Again, really needed that win. Proud of the boys shorthanded. Still a ton to work on. On to the next.

The anti Johnson people need to apologize. For 1 day at least. Was big on both ends. He fouled out again but not until late and it didn't seem the foul trouble impeded his play.

Samson played very well despite fouling out. Happy to see it.

Defense was much better. The 2 big look was a nice change of pace. Think Samson is actually a more natural 4 so it works kind of.

Big props to Hurley for his demeanor on the sideline today. The refs worked with us really well today.

I have a lot to say about this game. But above all else I want to shout out the little things: Mahaney hitting all those game-swinging threes, Stewarts steal and free throws, Samsons play in the post.. In my opinion, probably our most important win under Hurley: Our heart put us over the top, lets carry this momentum and continue tearing up the state of Texas whenever possible.

Once they review this game, Ball’s minutes will start to be limited. He does nothing on the court other than be an ok 3 point shooter, very occasional drive to basket
One rebound, no assists, 2 turnovers, atrocious atrocious defense.

I thought Aidan and Samson showed some guts out there. They’ve been under fire, and often deservedly so. But both made big plays tonight. That was the textbook way to respond to adversity. I’m rooting for them to keep it going.

Few too many defensive lapses but much better overall. If we continue to improve on D we will be in the mix.
