So let me ask you this as the current most vocal Baylor Bear fan on the site today-will there be the same amount of angst and commentary after a pedestrian 3 quarters of uninspired basketball by the Bear faithful as there would be from the Husky followers?
The second component is the media expectation that Baylor hasn't quite acheived yet the way Tenn, ND or UConn has. The media will not blink an eye on this blase' effort. On Monday at the half time of the SEC games that's all the immortal Charlie Creme could muster was what a concern this is for UConn trailing by 4. Yet when the game was over, nary a word about UConn turning it on in the 4th-identical to what Baylor just did.
When the media starts bemoaning your downfall, that's when you know Baylor will have arrived...
Cards on the table; If the Texas Longhorns were undefeated in conference play, I'd have a burnt orange flag as my avi. '
Hook em Horns' does something for me. Coach Mulkey has created a d-y-n-a-s-t-y in Waco, TX. While I like and respect them, I'm not the spoke poster for the Lady Bears or any other team. My posts are my own. Baylor teems with exemplary posters, who believe it or not, are almost as loquacious as me.
'Blase, uninspired, pedestrian?'
Let's look at the glass as half full. What caused them to play that way? The Texas Tech Lady Raiders.
They brought their
A game to United Supermarkets Arena. For 30 minutes Tech went mano Y mano against the defending National Champions. Tech made 4 more threes, won the boards, 36-35, shot a better percentage at the Charity Stripe, and all but shut down the Bears vaunted transition game. For 3 quarters, they won the battle.
In the last quarter, Coach Mulkey's charges put it into another gear. . . and won The War.
Put some shine on The Lady Raiders. Tuesday night, they refused to be the Washington Generals.
