Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey reached 599 career wins with 100 losses after Saturday’s win at Oklahoma State. That sets the stage for Tuesday in Lubbock where Mulkey could become the fastest NCAA Division I head coach, man or woman, to achieve 600 wins vs. Texas Tech.

She became a head coach at the age of 22.
She won #600 in 1996 at the age of 44, a 83-68 W over Marquette.


Coach Kim Mulkey was 38 when she took over the reins of The Baylor Lady Bears.

Yea but if you count her Assistant Coach wins (430-68) and wins as a player (130-6) she already has 1159, even before today. . She is the ultimate winner in College WBB. No one will ever beat that combined record if she keeps coaching. I still can't believe she isn't in the Naismith HOF.

Tech came out of the gate playing absurdly fast, borderline out of control. I think the first whistle didn't happen for 6 minutes into the game. They hit a few shots to keep it close, and Baylor has not yet responded. Can't let Tech dictate the tempo.

Tech tends to run hot and cold. A couple weeks ago they hit 20 three-pointers against Oklahoma State, but they also have a loss to Kansas. I think they have improved a bit throughout the year. Every team tends to come out firing against Baylor of course.
