Batouly is New Head Coach at Blair Academy

Congrats to Batouly - one of my favorite Huskies from an eloquence perspective as well as the joy she had, and honor she felt, in being at UCONN. Such a well-spoken young woman and I hope she is a smashing success!

Blair Academy is a private, expensive day school.
  • Student/Faculty Ratio: 6:1

For the 2020–2021 academic year, Blair charges $66,500 for tuition, room and board. Day students are charged $46,500, which covers tuition, study rooms, and meals at school.

In rankings based on tuition, room and board and required fees for the 2013–14 school year, Business Insider ranked the school as the 29th-most-expensive boarding school in the United States.[18] The school was 26th-most expensive based on the publication's rankings based on 2012-13 data.

This is a Prep school that (even though none admit it) recruit their top athletes. My son wrestled for a NJ public H.S. Blair Academy is always nationally ranked. Sometimes #1 in the Country. They had wrestlers from all over the Country on their team. Many wind up wrestling for the top colleges. Many don’t pay that tuition.

She must have really wowed them at the interview. She's a very impressive young woman.
Blair apparently has a strong women's basketball program and Camera would not have been chosen her if Blair did not believe that she would be a great coach, She probably really impressive when she was a student there.

She must have really soaked up everything during UConn practices and on the bench; and have gotten great recommendations from Geno and CD.

To start off as a head coach at a serious program is really amazing.

Blair Academy is a national powerhouse in wrestling having won 40 national prep titles. They have also had great basketball players, girls and boys over the years. It's an idyllic rustic setting. Back in the peach basket days in Jersey I played against them and my son in the 2010s did the same. She can do very well there. She had a very unsatisfying college career hampered by injuries. Often that's a recipe for a great coach. I am sure she will transfer the UCONN way to Blair and I will definitely follow her there.

Silly me. Cant stop thinking 'Facts of life'
