Good series win. Would have been nice to close out the sweep but can't complain about 2 out of 3 from what seemed to be a pretty solid team. The team continues to play relatively sound fundamental baseball with the exception of a couple of errors, but that's just college baseball. Obviously Cross was brilliant and Kay was solid. Tabakman will bounce back. No reason this team can't have a great season in the AAC with those 3 going every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Cross struck out 15 batters in a complete game win over FIU in Miami Friday night. The right-hander from Brentwood, New Hampshire, held the Panthers to one run on two hits and no walks. Cross set down 27 out of 29 batters after surrendering a leadoff double in the first. Cross leads The American with 41 strikeouts this season.
