Here it is, the moment you've all been waiting for.

How can a team get six hits in one inning and not score a run?

My answer in a couple of days.
I waited for some of the recruiting news to settle
Any others coming?

Hit 1 - caught stealing
Hit 2 - caught stealing
Hit 3 - on first
Hit 4 - on 1st and 2nd
Hit 5 - bases loaded
Hit 6 - player passes another on a basepath and is called out

I plan to bust the bubble early, so here goes.
The first two batters are consecutively thrown out trying to stretch singles or doubles into doubles or triples.
(2 batters, 2 hits, two outs, no men on base)
The next three batters single with runners only advancing one base.
(5 batters, 5 hits, 2 outs, bases loaded)
The next batter hits a ball that hits one of the baserunners. By rule, the runner is out, and the batter is awarded a base hit.
(6 batters, 6 hits, three outs, and no one has scored)

Two great answers, but I like this one.

3 consecutive singles with no one scoring.

3 consecutive balls hit that hit the runners. No advance and 3 outs with 3 hits awarded.

As much as I believed mine was the only solution, doggydaddy's is perfectly feasible.

Excellent, different from mine.

Excellent, similar to mine.

Bravo, this was my answer too.

You guys are just too darn good. I was hoping this one would go a few days like the first one.
Anybody else have one, any sport? It's a long time before the next game.

Baseball is a heckuva game. Great to play, great to watch, great for kids, great for families, great for communities. I am quite partial to the National League game which requires a great deal more strategy and second guessing.
