I wouldn't be worried if I saw them push him back a start or two throughout the season. Never know what the organization is trying to do with innings limits and all that crazy jive.

thanks. Earlier in the day they listed someone else as a probable starter. Barnes again pitched well.
6 innings one ER no walks, 8 Ks.

One of the other kids on Salem that I've been following is Jeremiah Bayer, the pitcher from Trinity College. He was D3 pitcher of the year when Trinity won the national championship. Interesting that he's relieved Barnes the past two games --looks like an experiment in contrasts, Barnes is the 97 mph flame thrower and Bayer primarily throws an 88mph sinker. Tough that he got a blown save last night, gave up one unearned run on an error by the 1st baseman missing a pickoff attempt.
