Every game so far this year I've heard the game commentator mention how there is too much dribbling in our offense. It's a pretty apparent issue.

I understand we want to run sets for guys (particularly Lamb off screens from the bigs), but when those fall through, we end up dribbling the ball and killing time in a stagnant offense and hoisting up a bad shot.

Why don't we start passing the ball around the perimeter a little more and see if something opens up? This team is well-balanced and pretty deep. When a defensive assignment fails, any one of our players should be able to hit an open shot or at least drive, make the D collapse, and then dish.

Even if nothing opens up with the passing, its better than having Shabazz stand at the top of the key dribbling. This team should be moving the ball by passing and penetrating.

Eventually, the pass fake and shot fake should start opening up some opportunities for our guys (Niels did a great job of this on one play yesterday) to drive or shoot.

We need to keep the defense on it's heels. The stuff we are running is very predictable. And when we don't execute, the offense looks awful. At least try moving the ball around and seeing what happens.

we don't run fast sets. Boat not being in the line up hurts. We need better off ball screens and more P/Rolls. I still feel we run these 1/2 sets in preparation for the tourney, but our strength is in going up and down the court fast and faster. Giff is a euro type palyer and fake pass and shot is a fundamental that we don't use in the states often enough. We rely on speed and athleticism and less on fundamentals.
